Director Certification Program – DCP1

Ho Chi Minh City, January 10 to 12, 2019 – VIOD successfully organized the first Director Certification Program (DCP1), with technical support from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a sister organization of the World Bank and a member of the World Bank Group. The program was attended by nearly 30 participants who are chairmen and board members of listed and companies looking for IPO, representatives from large investment funds and international accounting firms in Vietnam.

The DCP is known as the core component of VIOD’s Governance Excellent Program (GEP), designed to serve the growing need in understanding good corporate governance principles and practices for directors of Vietnamese companies..

The Program was unique in its design and delivery with three-full-day intensive and interactive agenda, led by speakers and facilitators who are experts and board members with in-depth knowledge and rich practical experiences of the legal framework, board activities and corporate governance..

At the end of the Program, participants need to successfully pass the final assessment including multiple choice questions and a case study analysis on corporate governance in order to be certified by VIOD. Participants in the DCP will get connections with fellow directors and create a network of professional board members, contributing to the improvement of corporate governance in Vietnam. The DCP2 is expected to take place in Hanoi during 9-11 May, 2019.
