On March 5, 2025, the Women Board of Directors Forum 2025 was jointly organized by the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) and the Vietnam Institute of Directors (VIOD), with technical support from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). The event attracted more than 100 delegates attending in person and online, with the special presence of female Chairmen, Board of Directors (BOD) members and female leaders.

Speaking at the opening of the forum, Mr. Nguyen Anh Phong - General Director of HNX highly appreciated the efforts of all parties, including VIOD, to promote Corporate Governance (CG), enhance the responsibility of the Board of Directors, diversify the composition, age, gender and experience.
In the current context, businesses need to become pioneers and leaders in promoting ESG and Sustainable Development. We have mentioned a lot about the E (Environment) and G (Governance) factors, but the S (Social) factor has not really received much attention. For listed companies, the S represents diversity, equity and inclusion, which is the participation of female members of the Board of Directors. They are the key to improving the quality of decision-making, risk management and promoting innovation and creativity in businesses.
This was further demonstrated through insightful sharing from international experts from Bangladesh and Malaysia, along with a lively panel discussion with leading business leaders in Vietnam. Practical stories and valuable experiences from the speakers emphasized the indispensable role of women in building effective and sustainable boards of directors, contributing to creating a transparent and sustainable business environment.
