If everything goes well, FTSE Russell will include Vietnam in the list of secondary emerging markets in September 2025, and the official announcement may be in early October 2025.
In this context, investors—especially institutional investors—are increasingly setting higher demands on listed companies: from transparency and governance capabilities to a vision for sustainable development. At the same time, regulatory authorities are gradually refining the legal framework and policies to support the capital market, with important documents such as Resolution 68/NQ-CP, aimed at building a modern, efficient market that aligns with international standards. Policies are paving the way, capital flows are shifting—are enterprises ready or not?
For publicly listed companies and the Board of Directors (BOD), this is a crucial time to reflect and strengthen internal capabilities: from financial strength and operational structure to governance quality and accountability.
