On February 27, 2025, the Forum “Towards a transformative annual general meeting season” was successfully co-organized by VIOD in collaboration with the State Securities Commission of Vietnam (SSC), Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE), and Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX). The forum gathered nearly 500 business leaders, Board of Directors (BOD) members, and Corporate Governance (CG) experts, both in person and online.

The forum featured remarks from Mr. Hoàng Văn Thu – Vice Chairman of the SSC – who directly oversees the implementation of amendments to the Securities Law and related sub-law documents, providing timely updates to enterprises and investors on critical changes in the regulatory framework.

Mr. Phan Lê Thành Long – VIOD Board Member and CEO – presented on Corporate Governance trends for 2025, based on the latest results of the 2024 ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS). He also outlined upcoming changes to the CG evaluation criteria of the Vietnam Listed Company Awards (VLCA) 2025, and offered practical recommendations for applying good governance practices, drawing on the VNCG50 Scorecard initiative.

During the panel discussion “Towards an Innovative AGM Season – What Should Companies Do?”, speakers shared views and explored solutions for companies to implement in the upcoming AGM season: ensuring compliance with new regulations while proactively adapting to meet the expectations of both the market and investors. The panel featured representatives from two companies listed in the VNCG50 Top Tier – HDBank and HSC – as well as representatives from the SSC and HOSE.
