The Vietnam Institute of Directors (VIOD), a member of the Global Network of Director Institutes (GNDI), is an independent professional organization operating with technical support from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and funding from the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). Its mission is to promote the adoption of best practices and standards in Corporate Governance (CG) for Vietnamese enterprises.

Corporate Governance and Climate Change Management: A Transparency and Efficiency Perspective
The Vietnam Institute of Directors (VIOD) and the Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants (VACPA) jointly organized a workshop on “Corporate Governance and Climate Change Management: A Perspective from Transparency and Efficiency” on the afternoon of May 13, 2025. The event aims to promote information transparency, enhance the role of auditors in assessing the development strategy and ESG factors of enterprises, thereby contributing to sustainable development and upgrading the Vietnamese stock market.

Climate change governance: Corporate strategies, commitments and actions
Climate change is having a strong impact on production and business activities, forcing Vietnamese enterprises to restructure their strategies towards sustainability. This requires integrating effective governance with sustainable development governance, in which climate change governance is a key factor. The Board of Directors and the Executive Board need to play a leading role in realizing ESG commitments, developing green buildings, participating in the carbon credit market and integrating sustainability into long-term strategies.
